I love movies. I love seeing movies in the theater. I'm also that uber nerd that needs to be in my seat early so I can see all the trailers for the upcoming releases. There are some incredible previews that turn into fantastic films. There are also amazing trailers that turn out to be pretty pathetic movies. In this Throwback Thursday, I wanted to look back at some of my favorite trailers, no matter the final result of the film.
Let me get this out of the way. This film is horrible. It's a disgrace that Warner Bros. can forever promote it as Academy Award winning (for Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling). Congratulations to the makeup and hairstyling team, but beyond that, this movie has very few redeemable traits. It is one of the few movies I can remember starting very strong with the introduction, but just sliding down a horrible spiral to a very pathetic ending.
Anywho, perhaps a lot of my, and nerds around the world, frustration is the promising trailer they released to promote the lackluster film. They introduce an amazing cast, with fun characters against the backdrop of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. We see humor. We see action. We see DC characters that aren't the focus of television and film. What could go wrong? Literally everything.
But hey, at least we have this amazing trailer.
