"Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." - Mario Puzo
Guy Ritchie has a very unique style but it’s undeniably entertaining. He creates electric dialogue, morally ambiguous characters and seems to really thrive in seedy underworlds where violence is as much of a currency as cash and in that sense his characters are always either rich or hopelessly poor and trying to remedy it through questionable means. These characters can range from drug addicts to bare knuckle brawlers to a member of an English crime syndicate.

Much in the same way American mafia stories explore themes of loyalty and betrayal and the consequences of violating these unwritten rules, a UK crime story such as MobLand addresses these same concepts, just with more worldly accents.

If spoilers are ever used, I will make sure it is obvious ahead of time to avoid any mishaps. Until the season ends, I can promise zero spoilers for the time being.*

Episode 103 - Plan B
If you can get a nice cup of coffee and a pastry to begin your morning that’s certainly preferable to the explosive start the Harrigans are subjected to when a rival family determines their time is officially up and all bets are off.Â
Amidst the hostile message sent to Kevin’s home and the earth shattering discovery made by Harry, he must now manage numerous loose ends threatening information being leaked to the wrong people at the wrong time. He solved one mystery only for it to unfold another which if he can find the proper culprit, maybe, just maybe, he can avoid an impending war. But after Richie’s less than ambiguous declaration, avoiding a war just became a herculean task.Â

If tying up loose ends wasn’t enough, Maeve tries to convince Conrad that the actions of their grandson were a prideful thing and should be celebrated. Before the episode’s conclusion we learn that a certain occurrence from episode 101 may have been carried out with more sinister intent by Eddie and his wild night out that was once perceived as an unexpected encounter.Â
As all this takes place the law is tailing mainly Harry hoping for any kind of mistakes to burn him with. Last moments suggest that a potentially catastrophic mistake was in fact made, by who remains to be seen.Â

Overall thoughts on Episode 103: Plan B -Â
More family dynamics are becoming clearer indicating lots of potential turmoil in the distant future. As for the present, it’s a thrilling balance of trying to cool down egos and righting incredible wrongs. It is a worst case scenario of only being as strong as your weakest link. For the Harrigans that is proving to be Eddie, unfailingly.
It’s clear Richie is left with questions and an itchy trigger finger in the face of great anguish and he is the last person you want out of his mind. I'm curious to see if Harry's loyalties change at all now that his family is being threatened. Does he remain the loyal soldier? There is a growing feeling that Maeve could put a bullet in the back of Conrad’s head and not think twice about it. Not saying there’s any indication she wants to, just a vibe she’s putting out there; one of instability and insatiable bloodlust. Ya know, the usual crime family drama. That old chestnut.
